James Peterson – California

Microsemi Corp. Chief Executive Officer James Peterson lied about his university degree and will be penalized with a $100,000 fine and forego a bonus for fiscal 2009, but he can keep his job, board members of the Irvine semiconductor company announced. Peterson’s lack of a diploma was exposed by Barry Minkow, a convicted corporate fraudster in San Diego who now makes a living short-selling stock of companies where he exposes wrongdoing. Minkow said Microsemi’s decision to keep Peterson could lead to shareholder lawsuits and trouble with the Securities and Exchange Commission, because the company issued a press release insisting that Peterson earned a BYU diploma, which relied on Peterson. 1. James Peterson used to pay me to write his term papers. He was either drinking or hung over most of his freshmen and sophmore years. He was known around campus as the most-likely to succeed since he was constantly socializing and would buy a round more often than most.
When he became CEO of Microsemi Corp., no one was really surprised, he was always on the move. No complaints from me, he paid a fair price for papers and would even pay more for better quality work. He ended up in San Diego, California and I ended up in Minnesota. I would like to be somewhere sunnier, myself.
