I would like to report this company, Unicare, in hope that other people will not be scammed by them as I have.

This company advertises on local newspapers as "Unicare". The company registered name is 210595385 Unicare Interior & Exterior Service Inc. This company has recently been established as of May 31, 2011 and is affiliated with another company conducting business in Ontario as 2217795 Ontario Home Service Club Ltd. The designated officers of Unicare are M. Adam-Haji and K. Adam-Haji. Ontario Home Service Club Ltd has been rated by Better Business Bureau with a score of F+. I had recently invited Unicare into my home as an "Emergency" fix to my leaky window. They inspected my rooftop and advised that I had damage to one of the vent by raccoons. He also advised that until he actually remove the damaged vent, he is unable to determine the extend of the damage.

The following day, he return and my nightmare began. He removed the vent and advised that the wood was badly damaged and it was rotted. He quote me a price which I thought was reasonably priced. I agreed to the removing of the wood, approximately 1 and 1/2 meter long and replacing with a new wood. The cutting began and within 1/2 an hour of being on my rooftop, he came down and advised that there were raccoons' dropping and that I need to clean, sanitize and put in new installation. He also show me pictures that he took. He gave me a quote over 5K. I have lived in this house for over 5 years and have never heard footsteps or experienced water damage to my celing. I became alarm and advised him only to replace and repair the wood that needed replacing. From $5,000 the price was drastically drop to less $500. I became suspicious at this point. He left for lunch and I climbed up to my attic for a quick inspection and found it was cleaned. No raccoons' dropping as shown from his cellular camera. After he returned from lunch, I confronted him with my findings and he said he cleaned it . The hole he made on my rooftop barely fit his head. He must have elongated arms to reach down from the top to the attic to remove the droppings. How could it be possible to remove everything within 1/2 an hour. I knew than I had a scammer on my hand. It took him over a week to repair the hole he made. His workmanship is of poor quality. He has poor work ethic. Comes in around 12:00 noon and leaves around 4:00 p.m. Most of the time, no sound or hammering can be heard from my roof. He sits on my rooftop gazing down.

This person that came to my house goes by an alias name. I have google him on the internet. His picture can be found at hi5 | Social Entertainment.

Please be informed of this company. Don't allow him on your roof.
