Thumbs down Scammers:CITY HAWKS MOVERS/PARDESI MOVERS 416-887-6688/905-812-5656

CITY HAWKS MOVERS/PARDESI MOVERS/East Coast Moving Inc.
416-887-6688/905-812-5656

These guys are scammers and ripoff artists.

I hired them for moving from Condo to House.
Total work was for 3 hours- These ripoff artists issued hand made invoice on piece of paper for 7 hours. On top of that 15% tax was added, Extra weight 60$ and stairs 60$ was billed- no stairs in my case. ( however we hardly had one sofa, two table, clothings, side tables and personal accessories , toys and kids stuff).

They left all the goods on road without even moving it inside house and damaged and/or mishandled most of goods.

I was made to pay more than double just because they refused to unload my goods. I was forced to pay all their undue demands just to get out of mesh because they threatened if I do not pay they will take away fully loaded vehicle to unknown location.

Just make sure that these guys do not scam you.

Even after several calls they refused to send us official invoice though extra 15% are charged as taxes. ( Wonder how they arrived at 15%). I wonder if they just grab another 15% on the name of taxes and defraud Canada revenue agency??

Beware of these scammers and ripoff artists. Steer clear from them. Even if you hire them, fix the complete charges including all extras, else they are bound to rip you off. Never pay them advance. Pay only after they finish full job satisfactorily. In my case they screwed up everything and charged me twice the actual work plus undefined bogus charges.

The worst part of the story is they collect tax and try to evade paying to federal or provincial agency as of now, since they issue no invoice.

( I have been calling since then to get official invoice, but they just do not pick up phone once they see my number)

I am also a victim of this mob company. They are now advertising themselves on Kijiji as Sterling Movers and are using the website Triple Sterling Movers Inc. - Moving Storage - Toronto. Their "Godfather", ***Kumar Gautam***, presents himself as "George", but also plays the role of "Alex", who answers the phone. He uses a voice changer over the phone. He hires immigrants from India and offers them tax-free employment. One of his employees suggested as an extortion that "George" has associations with a local Italian mafia (and that I better be a "nice boy").

They keep changing their names and have mutliple names active:

AAA Sterling Movers
Triple Sterling Movers
Sterling Movers
Complete Movers
Complete Movers & Storage Inc.
L.M.S. Moving and Storage
G.T.A. Moving and Storage
L & G Movers
Logan Moving and Storage
City Hawks Movers
Citi Lines Moving
CMS and Preferred Movers
CMS Complete Moving & Storage Inc
CMS Complete Movers
PARDESI MOVERS
East Coast Moving
GTA Storage
Desi Movers

They list their services on internet sites like Kijiji, Craigslist, and free classified ads. They service the Southern Ontario region.

They have multiple websites:

Triple Sterling Movers Inc. - Moving Storage - Toronto
completemovers.ca - Home Page
L&G MOVERS

They have multiple addresses assciated with them:

18-1040 Martin Grove Road, Etobicoke, Ontario M9W 4W4
7546 Redstone Rd, Mississauga, Ontario L4T 2B8
5-20 Millwick Drive, North York, Ontario M9L 2B5

They have multiple phone numbers associated with them:

905-672-0952
***416-994-4694*** (This seems to be the main number.)
1-866-482-8464
416-871-4456
416-871-4556
905-789-6170
647-688-6683
647-889-8430
**416-839-5693** (This is another number they usually answer.)
416-887-6688
905-812-5656
416-491-2740 (No longer in service)

ALL THESE NUMBERS ANSWER WITH THE SAME FAKE VOICE. They use a voice changer to hide their Indian accent.

Other address they gave in their bogus ( ? ) invoice is

135 Rexdale Avenue ( which doesn't exists), it is suppose to be Rexdale Blvd , which has many offices and their whereabouts cannot be traced.

416-893-8433 Kamal is involved in the scam along with Nik singh ( H singh) . They sometimes also go by name Gary or barry.
This number may be also related to gtamodelsescort.com ( this number is listed on gterb.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12882 regarding bait & switch practices)

Looks like many connections. This is the guy by name Kamal threatened and blackmailed me while moving , along with his colleague.

Default City hawks movers

CITY HAWKS MOVERS

I have used the service of city hawks movers on feb 20. when i booked the move with them i saw these comments on scamfound.com. i was very scared because i already booked my house moving with them. i called them and told them that i saw bad comments about your company.
The guy on the phone told me that you can cancel the move if you want to but sometimes its hard to satisfied every single customer and sometimes your competitors are free to post these comments all the time. i was still not sure at that moment. but i had no other option. i trusted the company and conform he move .

On the moving day i was so suprized because they were really proffesional and caring.
there was nothing like scam or anything like overcharging. they packed my all the stuff and they helped my un packed as well. The most important thing was that there was nothing like what i was expecting after reading these comments about CITY HAWKS.

NOW i am agree the guy on the phone that these comments are must be from some other moving companies or maybe its hard to satisfie every single customer.

City hawks ( Kamal & H.Singh) are complelety fraud guys running moving company with different names. They robbed 700$ for 2 and half hours work. They left my stuff on the road, once they got paid. They started blackmailing me if I do not pay they will take away our goods and it will not be unloaded. These guys run on hotmail, from home, calling as a company, whereas these guys have various names and bogus companies to cheat customers.

Beware of this guys. Above comment from LINDA is none other than KAMAL & H SINGH from Sausa Drive in Mississauga. These guys are posing as honest guys but they are ultimate ripoffs. They must be behind bars by now.

Default Beware of City Hawks Movers 416 887 6188

We need to do something and warn others. Police shutdown Desi Movers and its 18 aliases on Thursday, May 20, 2010. I'm trying to find out if City Hawks is part of this, or if separate, follows the same company principles. Check out: Police shut down moving company, arrest owners - thestar.com

Recapping my experience:
I was told there were no additional fees besides 1-hr travel on top of the hourly wage ($40/hr for two movers and a truck) when receiving a quote over the phone from George. They arrived 1.5 hrs late, asked that I sign a contract listing extra fees and that I pay $400 upfront (for 9hrs and 1 hr travel time). They removed some items from the contract (2hr travel and changed it to 1hr, $1/step/person, $30 for every extra pick up and drop off point) because I was told no extra fees over the phone. I signed at the bottom of page 1, not knowing that the terms and conditions continued onto page 2 on the back. Very sneaky.

At the loading/unloading locations (I had 4 locations in total - 3 drop off points) I was demanded more money or they wouldn't move my stuff.
Extra charges on the bills included: $40 for extra drop off even though he said he wouldn't charge me, 15% tax, $0.60/km for fuel surcharge when the contract says $0.35/km, charged for a $60 parking ticket, additional hours that they anticipate they will be working, wrapping fee $20, heavy items $120, etc.

When googling Cityhawk, many people say all these companies are the same: Pardesi Movers, Logan Moving and Storage, GTA Storage, CMS, East Coast Moving Inc. Online I find common complaints are the same with these companies - holding furniture hostage, paying exhorbitant "extra" fees, etc.

My husband had to drive to the bank machine to take out more cash so they would drop off our things to the last location, this included paying for their $60 parking ticket and an extra 2 hrs service.

Whenever I see a City Hawks ad on Kijiji I report their ad as a scam. If City Hawks is part of this Desi Movers round up, how is it that they are still operating?? My next step is to call City Hawks again to complain (their website quotes 100% guarantee), and if that doesn't work then file a complaint with BBB.
