I bought this product ($39) on line and immediately had problems. My computer slowed to a crawl and froze frequently. It is a newer HP/Intel dual process, 3G, 320Gb etc. Vista 64 bit.
I tried to get some help with Tech. support I sent two emails requesting help with no response. The whole PCTools website is a runaround. When I went to the online forum of users, I was unable to post even after registering twice, (so much for an open user forum). After reading the complaints about this company's unresponsiveness and proclivity for charging your credit card repeatedly, I just took the program off my computer and disputed the charge with the credit card company. I think their success is appearing to be a quality product rated by "consumer" websites that they in fact orchestrate. Am I wrong? At the very least, they are unresponsive to problems with their product. In fact they want to charge you $29 to get "premium" tech support for their product whatever that may be....
