He gave a false statement to County Clerk's office saying he provided labor and materials to put a roof on my house and filed a "Claim of Lien" (not a Lien, only a claim) on my property. He knew full well another roofing company provided my roof because he was checking up on my progress and filed his paper the day my roof was completed. Thank goodness I have a family of attornies who will help me for free. Most people do not and are caught in his web of intimidation. He is currently harrassing several others I know who also signed his form.

Another false statement he makes is that he is the only roofer who will get you a 100% free roof. Most reputable roofers will also cover your deductible for insurance proceeds. He has bad reports from FL, through AL, LA and TX & operates under Atlas Roofing/Star Roofing/Lee Scheidler. DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE. Check BBB, Scam Reports, Ripoff Reports. He also does business as Atlas Roofing, Star Roofing and Lee Scheidler. Real Name is Leo William Scheidler.

My attorney says his form isn't legal. TX has a "3-Day Right of Rescinsion". Send letters stating your wish to cancel via Registered Mail or Federal Express, even though it will probably be returned to you. Just save it for future reference if you have signed ANYTHING he has given you.

Thank you for the warning. More importantly, you must double-check a person or company before signing any documents. They are scammers yet it seem we are the ones who end up in the losing side. Isn't that unfair.
