This is a false complaint. I work for American Shingle and we keep a database of every client. This Oclire Nuanes is nowhere in our database meaning she was never one of our clients. I doubt this person even exists. Insurance agents dont like us because we make people aware that they have damage that is covered by their insurance. The agents get annual bonuses based off of the profits out of their office. Basically if you pay your premiums and never file a claim they get a bigger bonus. Then here comes American Shingle and all of a sudden 200 claims get filed in a month. You can believe they hate it.

I can believe it... an A.S. guy showed up on my door today and told me to claim hail damage to my insurance company despite the fact that there hasn't been any hail around here for years. Total scam.

the real problem here are the number of claims reported in areas that haven't had significant hail in years. If a roof has legitimate damage, that's one thing.

however, if a home doesn't have siding damage, damage to heat pumps, metal gutters, cars - or other obvious signs of hail damage, how can a salesman tell from the ground that a roof has damage. They can not.

I am an adjuster with a major insurance carrier and AS has been in our area for approximately 6 months. This area has not had major hail in over 3 years. Approximately 75-80% of the claims AS has reported on behalf of homeowners have been denied due to no damage being present.

These claims, regardless of whether they are paid, do count against your policy and can affect your premium down the road.
